Single Cover

I should have done this post a year ago.

I asked my friend Mark Hannant to come up with an idea for the single cover after my first two attempts. I really like the freshness to this, but I wanted to bring back the black. So I gave it another shot.

Here is the final attempt at the single cover which I eventually used.

The Band

Had a jam with the band today. The songs are coming together, we added two new songs to our potential playlist, Matthew's Any Man Would and my Beautiful Sleep (which is on the soon to be released Big Blue Suffolk Sky) which for some reason today I referred to as Good Sleep.

Matthew Jones, Mark Hannant, Leon Frere-Smith

Draft Single Covers

First Attempt
My cousin Will's feedback was that there was too much writing and too much black, and he was right.

Easter Sunday

Today is Easter Sunday. The Easter Sunday of last year was when The Big Blue Suffolk Sky EP was born. I never finish anything.

Old Drawings

I went as Frankenstein's Monster the Halloween of that year (2008) and got interested in his image.

The date reads "23.6.09", woah, I've been preparing this painting for a very long time.

Getting round to things which should have been done a while back.

My laptop is finally working again and today I spent the afternoon editing together all the different bits of "there is a snake in my head". I finally came up with some lyrics for the middle bit to replace some which I didn't like that much.

It makes you out to be so brilliant, it makes you out to be so damn good.
But now it's
making you out to be a conquistador
making you out to be a heart-breaker
making you out to be a player
making you out to be a liar
